Rude tellers and the bank manager said I could come on in before closing and and the security guard with the fake gold teeth said no. closed account over phone will never bank here again!

For anyone considering opening an account with Bank of America, I highly recommend you use another financial institution.
By far the worst bank I’ve ever banked with. As to why upper level management haven’t sent someone from cooperate down to BoA Lumpkin Rd Columbus, GA is beyond comprehension. Can they not see a trend in all the low rating and reviews? My gripe with BoA was that it is ALWAYS crowded during the afternoon to evening period. The bank is serverely under staffed and if they’re not, no one is showing up to work. We had to wait over 45mins to see someone and when we did get help, they said to try going online to get help. Really! Isn’t that what your job is for to assist your customers? If going online would solve the issue, don’t you think we would’ve or have already explored that option? We closed our account at the bank and misplaced the close out check. So after exploring the failed online option we went to the BoA where we had the account, that issues us the check and asked to get a reissued check. Would you believe that the bank manager told us he couldn’t help us because the bank was closing in an hour and that we had to make an appointment just to reissue a check from a closed account. It’s like I’m begging these people to give me back my money. We could go one and one about the reasons to never bank at BoA Lumpkin Rd Columbus, GA. But don’t want to beat a dead horse. Save yourself the pain and time and just take your business to Navy Federal Credit Union. The service and staff there in Columbus, GA is super nice and never ever keep you waiting and never make excuses as to why they cannot service you or assist you.
Most inefficient bank I have ever delt with. Went to bank in November 2016, with my brother, to file power of attorney papers on his behalf. Made two trips to get this done. Called to make sure notary available. Notary not there when I arrived. Had to go down the street to a notary. Thought every thing taken care of. In Sept. 2017 accidentally locked out of online account because put in wrong password. Called to get it taken care of and learned they did not have me listed as power of attorney. Went into bank and was told there was a new manager in training and would not be a notary until he completed training. This would not be complete for several weeks. Made an appointment but when arrived at that meeting was told I needed a copy of my brothers drivers license and social security card. Got that and returned another time, waited an hour to see someone. When I saw someone was told this process would take about an hour and the bank would be closing before we could get it done. I am here for my fifth attempt to get this completed. Tried to call before I came to make sure notary was here but got no answer after numerous attempts to reach them. When I arrived was told they would have to check to see if a notary was here. Told them I tried to call and got no answer. The reply was, we are swamped. Luckily a notary is here but I will have a long wait before I can see someone. Deposited the money for sale of his house in another bank because of the service here. Took about 15 minutes to get my power of attorney there. The first thing on my list when the power of attorney is completed is to remove my brothers checking account from this bank.
I've called a total of 11 times this morning with no answer. They are open according to their website. I live an hour away, and after doing business with Bank of America for 3 years, I am heading to Columbus now and taking time away from work to close every account I have with them.
