Lovely nice family park... The tennis courts add a updated look to Cooper Creek Park however, when you drive along further you can see the trail needs a facelift. I love the nature walk and enjoy the look of the lake. Such a thrill to see kids watch the ducks walk on their own!! Journey on my brisk walk I notice tree roots are visible on the trail walk. It is less inviting at the back of the park. I think it would enhance the park even more for revised stations throughout to match the playground near the front.
I run at alot of different parks in Columbus, but I just can't get into this course. Maybe it's the abundance of geese as you're trying to exercise? The place also gets a little shady closer to dark.
Good place to take the kids though, if you want them to see many different types of ducks and birds.
I appreciate all the shade and plentiful picnic tables with benches. As others have noted, the trail needs work to be really user friendly.
This park actually is a LIVING AND THRIVING ecosystem, so if you have to run through duck or geese poo, that's your problem. Can you run elsewhere? Because you are complaing about something that's free?
