The only reason it got one star, was because I wanted to let everyone know how horrible, careless, and unprofessional this school is!!! My son, a 6 year old first grader (being a Caucasian) was called a stupid fat cracker, a honkey, an ugly fat white boy.. and those are only SOME of the things that were said by other students. When I want to talk with the teacher, the office wouldn't let me. I told them the situation and they said I should talk to the principal. So I left my number and waited and NEVER heard back. Then today he was wrongfully stabbed NEXT TO HIS EYE with a pencil by another student, and the school never even called me to tell me of the incident, and only "wrote the boy up" I don't even know what a write up is to them, but it doesn't take back the bullying!!!! DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!!! I REPEAT DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!!!! horrible people who do NOT care for their students and after today's incident and many failed attempts to arrange a meeting with administration and/or his teacher I am going STRAIGHT to the school board. This is NOT OKAY!!!
The teachers of the fourth grade had a meeting. The meeting was well organized and helpful. As a parent of a student I was pleased on all aspects of the meeting. The way they are preparing the kids for not just the next level of school, but for the journey of life. I am pleased that my son has a core of teachers that care so much about his future
