I would give them less stars of I could! They took more than 40 days to fix my transmission, because, despite being a transmission place, only have one guy doing a ton of work! And, when I finally got my car back, it still wasn't fixed. They didn't even properly re-secure the front end of the car. And, I had missing parts! Now, I took it back, and had them replace the missing parts, and properly secure the front end, but it should have never left out of their garage that way! Let alone allow me to drive off with it like that. And, I'm still having problems with the transmission! I had them check it... and they say it's fine! But, it's definitely not! It's great that I have a warranty, but it's crap in my hand if I can't use it, because I don't want to take my car back somewhere that: A) says everything is fine, when it clearly isn't, and B) is going to take another 40+ days to fix (what they say they already fixed), if they decide something is actually wrong with it. What am I suppose to do? I feel like I'm standing here with crap in my hand.... don't go to this location! But, keep in mind, not all locations are like this one. The one in Fort Walton Beach, FL was great! That's why we went to this one (my husband is in the service, and we moved because his duty station changed). I just didn't realize they don't keep the same standards at each location... but, I now know. Just wish I had figured it out sooner.
They were fast with the service but there was a miscommunication with the price.
My niece took her car to the Armco shop in Tampa 23 days ago. She has been put off and put off. She is renting a car and the bills are mounting. I WOUKD NEVER EVER GO TO SN AAMCO SHOP AND WOULD RECOMMEND YOU TURN AND RUN IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THIS BRAND!
Unfortunately, this rating system doesn't allow for any less stars! Horrible work! Did a horrible job! They "repaired" my transmission by replacing it with, what appears to be, a transmission they pulled out of a junk yard. This transmission has never even been cracked open... which means they did NO work to it, before installing it in my vehicle! And, they "replaced" my power steering hose by patching the same one with duct tape and zip ties! My transmission is leaking everywhere! My power steering hose is not fixed, and still leaking! In fact, this is how they fixed it.... and said that it came like this from the factory.... Erwin (store owner) said his people wouldn't have done that. Ha! What a load of BS! Because they did. I saw this hose with my owe two eyes before I dropped it off there... and it didn't look like this until I got it back. It had to have been them! Not to mention, I have things missing from the inside of my vehicle, and I have other problems with my car now, because I took it here.
I was very impressed with the service I received at this shop on my first visit so I took my vehicle back and had the same positive experience. My first visit was a brake job. I had already done research online and gotten three other estimates bcos I needed rotors as well as brake pads...I was referred to this shop by a family member but was still leary bcos of past experiences. A technician came out and checked my brakes and told me what I needed(which I already knew) as well as the minimum I needed for safety sakes. He even explained how my brake system work in language I understood. Based on the other estimates Mr. Jenkins managed to stay under cost. And in addition to an affordable brake job I also got a nationwide warranty for the work done. I recently took my vehicle back for other much needed work. I had the same positive experience even though my work was sorta a rush job cos I was headed out of town. My vehicle was ready for the road as promised and I still had vacation money! Thank you Mr Jenkins and staff! I truly appreciate you Guys! God Bless!
