1. Not much done while on active duty and saw the surgeon for 5 minutes max before being told that I had "army back" and tough it out.
They took great care of my back issues and were very caring and professional.
I was in so much pain i just wanted to crawl into Dr Bell office. I was scared and nervous Dr. Bell assured me i will be ok and in good hands, he asked me is there any questions. I ask how many times you did this kind of surgery, he answered a whole lot can't count them. Finally Dr. Scott Bell preformed my surgery one year ago on Feb 2016 my pain was gone almost the same night after surgery the pressure on my spine was gone and i am doing very well.
3. Had to restart therapy sessions due to poor advice by the providers office.
I have had 3 visits here over the past 6 years, all for the same complaint. My first visit, back in 2010 while I was still on active duty, I was told that I had army back and sent back to my military provider (Physician Assistant) for Narcotics and whatever treatment he deemed necessary. After retirement and the Narcotics started wearing off, I was again referred back with a new MRI. The Doctor decided pain management (PM) and Physical Therapy (PT) prior to surgery. After both failed to show improvement, he offered to operate. I was told to cancel all future scheduled PT and PM appointments appointments due to the surgery.
Dr Bell is awesome hands down the best surgeon out there. He is persistent and he won't stop til he finds answers. Almost 7 years post op 2 aneurysm clippings. Having face pain w out a cause but he is determined. I'm
2. 6 years later and after PM and PT proved ineffective, surgeon recommended surgery and informed me to cancel all pending appointments; surgery denied by insurance and the decision was apparently never questioned by the surgeon or peer reviewed.
4. I was scheduled a follow up appointment, apparently on a different surgeons schedule, and forced to return the next day.
In summary:
"I love Southeast Brain & Spine" they were so kind and helpful, yes I recommend them, they helped me, get my life back.
So thankful for him.
I have always been shown kindness from Dr bell and the staff.they answer any questions I may have and they are all very friendly. There is nothing about them I can complain about. I would recommend this office to anyone who needs a brain or spine problems .......
I thought It was my hip hurting over few months that's was my complaint, kept going to my PC every few weeks, my PC finally got tired of me and order a Cat Scan, Xrays nothing showed up on those test, then my PC ordered MRI I was turn down by referrel twice. Finally had my MRI was read by Dr. Scott Bell I was referred by two coworker who both surgery preformed by SB&S,
This is where I stand now. It hasn't been the best experience. On a positive note, the staff is friendly and I have faith that it'll all work out in the end.
Tricare denied his request to operate, and I was imformed that thus sometimes happens but is resolved via a peer to peer review between my surgeon and the insurance. This never happened and my surgeons scheduler instructed me to restart pain management and physical therapy. I was scheduled for a follow up appointment a month later. This required new requests through my insurance for both programs and really made any plans for the future impossible to make. Regardless, I restarted PT and PM, as directed and reported to my scheduled appointment with the surgeon only to be told that the scheduler made an error and the surgeon wasn't in. Fortunately, I was scheduled to see him the next day.
