I will say this place is very affordable. Full size fridge, microwave, and the shower pressure is great! Also an out door pool to use, weather permitting. However, myself and my daughter in law come down from Michigan for the weekend for family weekend for my son who is in basic at fort benning.! Excited we were til we both woke up eaten alive! Yes, another bed bug ridden place.... :( It's unfortunate because the rooms look decent. We have another night here, and I'm sleeping in my car. Also after one night, I got up to go get my son in the morning to spend the day with him, I came out to my car to a ticket. Said I could not park here without a pass. Hello, I'm staying here!!! Didn't know about a pass that I had to put in window. Was not given one. However front desk woman gave me a pass when I went back in with my ticket.. and appologized, but hey! Who's paying the ticket???
I felt the rooms could have been cleaned better. We didn't put our luggage on the floor due to a roach being seen and later that evening I killed a bedbug. I left a remark on there survey card. The linens including the bedding were however very clean and smelled clean and fresh. The pool should allow access to its customers through the entire stay without closing at 9:00 pm. It should be open too guests at least until midnight since there is no lifeguard on duty. They do allow you to check your room to see if you like it or want to exchange for a different room. I like that there is 24 hour security on the property, at least in Columbus, GA. Otherwise the trip and stay was rather nice.
Stayed here for 4 nights while visiting for my son's graduation at Ft. Benning. Its on the edge of a shady area, but everything was fenced in, and ended up being just fine. Rooms were clean, but definitely dated. No cockroaches. Free breakfast was cereal, bagels, fruit cups, mini muffins, yogurt....basic cold foods. Not great by any means, but nice for the quick morning snack before heading to Ft. Benning, which was 2 or 3 miles away.
Worth the Price Definitely. Only reasons I don't want to give it more then 3 stars are 1. Out of 2 rooms that I've been in, one had a broken air conditioning unit so I had to buy a fan on my own behalf due to maintenance not prioritizing it /offering any consolation & 2. The Security isn't highly enforced.
My husband and I booked a room at this hotel for 2 nights, only to arrive to be told the hotel was full. The clerk never spoke to us directly. She never looked up our reservation. She was very rude and pretty non chalant and inconsiderate of the fact that we drove 13 hrs to not have a place to sleep for the night. We were coming to visit my son who's at Fort Benning. (Family day)The manager was not much help when we called him the next morning. They apparently cancelled our reservation for the following night because when we showed up (a different young lady was working) she did not even have the reservation on file. She apologized and was very nice and polite. We were given the corporate number to call and was hung up on. Needless to say I wouldn't recommend this place to ANYONE EVER!!!
