Southern cooking at its very best ! I must stop at the Royal Cafe every time I am in Columbus, GA .
I heard the food is good, I will never know. I waited for nearly an hour for my food, just as I was about to leave they told me my food was ready. Unfortunately for me they only take cash or check and I only had my debit card. I refused to go to the ATM after waiting for almost an hour and had to go elsewhere for lunch which made me late to work. The food does LOOK good but I think its time to catch up to the 21st century and invest in a card machine. I give it two stars because the waiters were friendly.

Delicious fresh hot food. Cooked to perfection. First time there for lunch with my precious friend that recommended we eat there. She is 92 years of age. I am 49. Learning alot from the dear lady. The employees there are super nice. Tuesday is blackberry cobbler dessert day. I can say I was skeptical but kept an open mind. I never enjoyed blackberry cobbler until today. We had an absolutely blessed time there. Will look forward to going back.
One of the best meat & vegetable places in town, if not the best. Always has fresh vegetables, not canned or frozen. All items including peach cobbler or banana pudding are made from scratch. Mrs. Lila Starr runs my favorite restaurant and always has something nice to say. If it's packed, it may take a while but it is well worth the wait.
