In the 12 years of being a military spouse I have NEVER come across a moving company so incompetent. Avoid at ALL costs.
Absolutely the worst moving company in Georgia. I have moved many times and have had anything close to the amount of broken and destroyed items as I had when McCarley packed and shipped my house. Over 20 items were damaged in some way and others were completely destroyed. Much of this resulted from careless packing and wrapping and stacking heavy items on top of light items, which defies all common sense. They also broke my washer and dyer by stacking heavy items on top of them inside the truck. One framed newspaper was completely shattered because they did not put it inside a padded box. The moving crew almost left without taking the washer and drier and I had to follow them around the apartment to make sure that they actually packed everything. Now I wish I had paid closer attention to how they packed since they did such a poor job. Overall the packers were lazy and careless and should not be allowed to handle anyone's possessions. As for the company itself, my shipment was delayed for over a week and they never contacted me to inform me as to its whereabouts. All in all this move was a terrible experience, by far the worst in my life and I strongly recommend against anyone ever using McCarley Moving and Storage for anything whatsoever. Hopefully they will never receive another moving contract and will close their "business".
