We rented through Bickerstaff Parham for 1 year. We had our move out inspection recently and wre charged $130 for carpet cleaning as well as on the move out statement we were charged a $200 cleaning fee after being told it should be fine as far as cleaning maybe $50-75 total from our security deposit. There was a pond in our front yard and a busted pipe that was in the concrete slab that was going to have to be torn up in our one year daughter's room. We were let out of our lease early but I did EVERYTHING requested on the move out checklist and still charged a $200 cleaning fee with no response from anyone as to exactly why as the home was left in much cleaner condition than it was received by us in especially the yard. I've contacted two people at Bickerstaff Parham once move out inspection was complete in regards to the cleaning fees to find out more details with NO RESPONSE. I would like a call from the owner.
Hands down, one of the worst property management companies in the area. They pray on veterans who have left the area and can no longer keep tabs on their property. I did not start with them, my account was sold to them through a different company. Before Bickerstaff Parham took over my account, I never had a problem. Afterward, I ended up having issues with things like home repairs (that were not done properly) and communication that was virtually non existent. I am not only not recommending that anyone use that but I will personally be making a complaint through the military to Black List this company as I have found many Service Members face the same issues. RUN from this company!!!!!!
By far the worst rental experience I've encountered. They have plenty of properties to choose from. That is a plus but if they are running all of the properties the same across the board, I feel sorry for tenants like me. I stop calling and submitting work orders, and put all of my energy into my next place of residency. I have work orders that are more 4 months old. The requests are for what I thought were simple things like sealing windows and doors. The owner of the townhouse that I am renting came into town once and I finally got a decent cut yard. She was not impressed from the conversation we had. I'm waiting on a response from a few lawyers so hopefully I can get something out of the terrible ordeal.
We moved here in April from out of state and used this agency. We put a deposit on a house and upon arriving to our surprise the how was disgusting. We discussed this with the agency and they refused to refund us our deposit and unable to help us find another place.
I attempted to do an update to the review but could not. I spoke with one of the owners this morning. He listened and was very apologetic. I expressed my concerns to him. He's refunding the above listed fees today. He understood and listened to all of my concerns. If you are having any issues with this company I suggest that you give him a chance to resolve them. He's great!
