Taking advantage of military soldiers. I filled up the gas tank before I dropped it off and acquired my receipt once I turned in the vehicle. My receipt's final charge was $703.35 and several days later my credit card was charged $715.85. When I called Avis about the discrepancy, I was told they put 1.2 gallons of gas in, which was an additional charge. I told the clerk that obviously after I filled it up, I had to drive the vehicle from the gas station to Avis and I would probably burn one gallon of gas. Unless they had the pump at their drop off, there would not be any other way to fill it up without burning gas. I believe they nickle and dime soldiers here and there with fraudaulent charges and are ripping off customers and soldiers. Do not use them.
The return area has no signage for Avis. They don't even come out to look at the car. They require you to tell them the mileage instead of checking for themselves. They refused to call another office over an issue with a one-way rental and told me that I need to call them. The lady had to call her manager 3 times while I was there and the manager was just as clueless as she was. I've rented from Avis dozens of times and this is by far the worst experience I've had.
Horrible service!!!! Rude, nasty and lazy worker!! Just left extremely disappointed, and I will never come back to this place!! Whoever was working today, didn't answer my concerns all she said was "you have time to read all the paperwork"!!!!, she was on the phone ignoring me, I never leave comments but avoid this place at all cost!!!
You guys have GOT to do something about the customer service at this location! I'm trying to close out a government paid for rental and I needed help with the billing information to finish my voucher. As I'm trying to describe what I need, the person on the phone at the location just keeps cutting me off and trying to give me information that has nothing to do with my problem. I hope the government stops doing business with you, because it's too much hassle for service members!
I can't believe all the bad reviews l see of this place after they were so helpful with me yesterday, the least I can do is leave a good review. I showed up with no reservation, last minute, needing to get almost halfway across the country as soon as possible. Tori and Tasha could tell I was very stressed, though I never told them why, and pulled some strings to get me into a car in just a few minutes. When they came through for me I was so happy and relieved I almost started to cry. They both literally ran around the counter to hug me and I couldn't hold back. I was getting desperate, had tried all the other rental offices at the airport and they were my last chance to make it home to my family, and they made it happen. The car I got was also great. It was clean and new and very efficient (I màde it from Columbus to Oklahoma City and only had to stop for fuel once, before topping off at turn-in). Contrary to most of the other reviews here, my experience yesterday turned me into a future Avis customer for sure.
